World No.2 Scott Brash and his Paris 2024 Olympic gold medal-winning teammate Harry Charles are among the entrants at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, which gets underway in the grounds of Windsor Castle later this week.
The British pair will be hoping they can give the home fans plenty to cheer about across the three days of showjumping action which starts on Friday 15 May and concludes with the Rolex Grand Prix on Sunday 17 May.
Show ambassadors Joe Stockdale and Jack Whitaker will also be looking to continue their run of good form on home turf. Joe won the Gold Tour Grand Prix at Arezzo last month while Jack was second in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Miami. Other British hopes include Robert Whitaker, Matthew Sampson and Jodie Hall McAteer.
International challengers include world No.1 Kent Farrington, former European champion Martin Fuchs and London 2012 gold medal winner Steve Guerdat. Leading female riders Laura Kraut, Lillie Keenan and Canada’s Olympic rider Kara Chad, will also be in action.
Stellar line-up
“We are thrilled to welcome such an outstanding group of riders to Royal Windsor Horse Show this year,” said Simon Brooks-Ward, chairman of Royal Windsor Horse Show.
“The continued presence of the world’s best athletes highlights the prestige of the Show, and we look forward to three days of exceptional international competition in The Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Castle Arena.”
The Royal Windsor Horse Show takes place from Thursday 14 – Sunday 17 May. As well as the showjumping action, the show hosts the CAIO4* International Carriage Driving Grand Prix, the CEI3* Royal Windsor Endurance, over 120 Showing classes and displays featuring Shetlands, military horses and mounted games.
