About Us

Your Horse’s ethos is helping our readers to learn, improve and enjoy all things equine — inspiring them with new ideas to try in the saddle and topical features to hone how they care for their horse. We also showcase the latest gear for both horse and rider, with independent testers reviewing products and giving honest reviews about essential kit, while our interviews and real-life features ensure we provide relatable, all-round entertainment.

Each of our 13 issues (annually) is filled with motivational content from the best riders, trainers, experts and vets in the business. From the seasoned competitor through to leisure riders and everyone in between, Your Horse has something for all. We are the only equine brand to dedicate time and space to hacking — and targeting the masses of riders who do not compete — in every single issue, as well as digitally through #Hack1000Miles. Our unique challenge celebrates this hugely valuable, yet often underrated discipline — and helps us engage with new people every single day.

Meet the Team

Aimi Clark, Website Editor

Aimi has been lucky enough to own and ride horses ever since she was a little girl. Her horsey genes come from her father’s side, where family members have ridden for generations.

Aimi became editor of Your Horse in January 2018, after nearly 10 years working on other top equestrian titles. In July 2022, due to exciting growth of Your Horse’s digital platforms — including this website — Aimi stepped away from editing the magazine in order to solely focus her time and efforts on running Your Horse Online.

Aimi oversees all the great content that yourhorse.co.uk brings you from start to finish. No two days are the same: one day she might be sitting in the press office at Badminton, or in an arena watching Carl Hester give a reader a lesson, or at her desk subbing web stories and making them live.

For the first time in her life, Aimi doesn’t currently own a horse. Her Thoroughbred, Bee, an ex-racehorse she owned for 10 years, died shortly before her daughter was born and his stable remains empty. She hacks out her gran’s horse, Jess, and also enjoys hacking horses for showing star Jayne Ross. However, Aimi has plans to find a new equine friend in the near future (and we think a pony for her daughter is also on the cards).

Aimi loves hacking and fun rides, so she’s the best person to spearhead our #Hack1000Miles campaign. In fact, Aimi just loves going fast, which the Thoroughbreds she has been lucky enough to own over the years have always been very good at. Her riding background is in point-to-pointing and eventing. Her family trained pointers for many years in Devon while Aimi and her sister both competed in Riding Club activities and grassroots-level eventing. These days, though, she is mostly found watching from the side-lines and acting as groom and lorry driver for her sister.

Julie Harding, Magazine Editor

Julie started running Your Horse magazine in July 2022. She has also ridden since the age of five and currently owns four equines of varying sizes, two of them World Horse Welfare rescue ponies.

Julie previously ran Eventing magazine for 11 years. During Julie’s time at the helm of this specialist title, Julie reported three Olympic Games and numerous other championships and high-profile events, as well as writing countless features and news stories. In total, she worked on Eventing for 21 years, developing a deep understanding of equestrian journalism and the horse world in general.

For the last four years Julie has edited farming title Country Smallholding, which was purchased by Your Horse owner Kelsey Publishing a few months ago. She is enjoying working on magazine pages filled with horses once again!

To contact Julie, email julie.harding@kelsey.co.uk

Please send press releases to both Aimi and Julie.
