Charlotte Dujardin and her Olympic partner Gio will headline the star-studded dressage line-up at this year’s London International Horse Show (16-20 December).

Britain’s most decorated female Olympian will be taking part in the capital’s opening event, the FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix, which will take place on the morning of Thursday 16 December.

Charlotte will also be contending the FEI Dressage World Cup Freestyle to Music, which is part of the evening performance on Friday 17 December. She will be looking to retain her title in both competitions following her double victory in 2019.

Charlotte will be joined by her Olympic teammate Lottie Fry and Dark Legend. Lottie has had an incredible 2021 campaign, including individual bronze and team silver at the European Championships, and Olympic team bronze.

Fellow member of the European Championship team, Gareth Hughes, will also be competing at ExCeL London, as well as Olympian, Richard Davison. Fiona Bigwood and Lara Butler add to the impressive British line-up.

Supporting a good cause

Richard House Children’s Hospice is the London International Horse Show’s official charity for the 2021 event.

Based in East London, the charity provides palliative care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Richard House not only provides residential services and treatment to children and young people to improve their quality of life, but also offers support to their families through counselling, therapy and bereavement support.

“To have the support of the London International Horse Show this December is a fantastic way of our families seeing how much the local community cares and wants to give back to them,” said Kathryn Elvin, Head of Corporate Engagements and Partnerships.
