A competition waistcoat isn’t just fashionable — it’s an increasingly practical choice too.
British Dressage (BD) riders can wear a tailored waistcoat instead of a competition jacket, including at BD Championships, without needing prior permission.
British Eventing (BE) and British Riding Clubs also permit competitors to wear a fitted waistcoat in a conservative colour.
Under BE rules, waistcoats can be worn for both the dressage and showjumping phases, up to advanced level.
