Gold medal-winning dressage rider Laura Tomlinson will be showcasing her skills and expertise at a public event next month. On the evening of 23 May, Laura will be riding in a demonstration at the Horses Inside Out Evening Extravaganza at Hartpury College.

Laura said she was excited to be taking part in the event, which is hosted by Horses Inside Out’s Gillian Higgins.

“As riders and trainers, it’s so important that we learn as much as we can about the anatomy and biomechanics of the horse,” she said. “With this knowledge we can improve the way we train and care for our horses and ensure that they are as happy and comfortable as possible.”

The evening will help equestrians to improve their riding, training and equine management through an interactive lecture and demonstration. The extravaganza has been designed to improve understanding about anatomy and biomechanics and how this can help to improve the horse’s posture, movement, comfort, and performance. It will also help riders to understand how different exercises and techniques affect their horse’s way of going and performance.

Gillian has worked with Laura for several years and said she was delighted that she is taking part.

“As a shining example to so many, Laura is a rider who truly understands the importance of applying anatomy and biomechanics to riding, training, and management to not only achieve the best equine performance but comfort and longevity too,” said Gillian.

“With Laura as the star of the show, her horse painted up with the skeleton and Laura herself riding in a skeleton bodysuit, dressage, harmony, and anatomy will be brought to life as you have never seen it before. Thursday 23 May is an opportunity not to be missed!”
