Equestrian YouTuber and social media star This Esme (Esme Higgs) will take part in working animal charity Brooke’s hacking campaign this summer.
This Esme, who is an ambassador for Brooke, will hack 100 miles over 100 days and raise money to help provide clean water to over 10,000 donkeys and their owners in Kenya.
All riders are welcome to join This Esme and participate in the challenge which takes place between May and August 2025 and is aiming to raise £25,000. Participants are requested to raise a minimum of £100.
The miles can also count towards your #Hack1000Miles tally, for which there are exciting prizes available.

“Access to clean water is a lifeline for both the donkeys and the people who depend on them in Kenya,” said Chris Wainwright, CEO of Brooke.
‘Make a real difference’
“Hack100 offers a chance to make a real difference, not just for these incredible animals, but for the families who rely on them.
“It’s a powerful reminder that something as simple as water can change everything – and with your help, we can bring that change to those who need it most.”
Brooke will send branded prizes to all participants once their fundraising page receives its first donation. Prizes include the chance to win up to £350 towards a helmet from leading equestrian bran Charles Owen.
Brooke’s mission
Brooke, which was founded by Dorothy Brooke in 1934, works with communities, local health providers and policy makers to create a better life for working animals and their owners.
The charity recognises that working animals are an essential part of many communities around the world and without them they would be unable to earn a living, provide food for their families and send their children to school.
