Badminton Horse Trials
Ros Canter and Lordships Graffalo (‘Walter’) galloped into the history books when they won the Mars Badminton Horse Trials for a third time in 2026. It is the first time that a horse has won the title three times.
Badminton is the pinnacle of eventing and the CCI5* action kicks off on Wednesday with the first horse inspection. This is followed by two days of top-level dressage, before the cross-country phase takes place on Saturday. The event concludes with the showjumping, which runs in reverse order of merit, on Sunday.
Jane Tuckwell is the event director, while Eric Winter designs the cross-country course.
The LeMieux Badminton Grassroots BE90 and BE100 Championships take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. The course-designer and builder is James Willis.
