Charlotte has worked as a journalist for 30 years, starting in local newspapers and then moving into her niche — writing about equestrian and countryside matters. She lives on a smallholding in the Peak District with sheep, lots of chickens and bees, her two horses and terrier and hardworking husband. After 15 years of her trusty hacking partner, a Connemara pony called Seamus, Charlotte took on her ex-racehorse Daisy (in what may prove to have been a moment of midlife madness) in 2023. Charlotte writes many news stories and care features for Your Horse, both for the magazine and the website, most of the #Hack1000Miles content.
