Equine nutrition brand, Spillers, has strengthened its commitment to British Racing after becoming a partner of The Jockey Club, supporting seven of its racecourses and two of its training facilities.
Carlisle, Exeter, Huntingdon, Market Rasen, Nottingham, Warwick and Wincanton racecourses, together with The Jockey Club’s training grounds at Lambourn and Newmarket, are all part of the collaboration.
Spillers has more than 65 years of research-backed equine nutrition expertise, including its specialist racehorse range, which is designed to support Thoroughbreds at every stage, from box rest and early yearling training through to fuelling Grand National winners.
‘A core focus’
“Racing is a core focus for our brand,” said Charlotte Mitchell, Thoroughbred nutritionist at Mars Horsecare, home of the Spillers brand.
“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with The Jockey Club. Working with such a respected organisation is the perfect way to invest back into and support the racing industry.
“At Spillers, we know just how hard elite sports horses work and have fine-tuned our range of feeds to support the specific needs of the thoroughbred.
“This exciting new partnership allows us to combine over 65 years of scientific research in nutrition with the legendary venues of The Jockey Club, ensuring trainers have access to the trusted nutrition required to maximise their horses’ health, wellbeing, and performance on the track.”
Investing in racing’s future
Matt Powell, head of partnerships at The Jockey Club, said: “We are delighted to be beginning a new partnership with Spillers.”
“At The Jockey Club we’re dedicated to ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of British horseracing and breeding.
“We’re excited to have them on board as a partner of seven of our racecourses and the training facilities in Newmarket and Lambourn. We hope this is just the beginning of a long and successful partnership.”
