A new STARS Champion of Champions Show in partnership with TopSpec will run in November (19-21) at Aintree Equestrian Centre.
The show is the brainchild of showing rider Sarah Harrison, who created and founded the STARS Champion of Champions in 2018 with the aim of providing a championship event specifically for riding club and Pony Club members.
“The show’s sole purpose is to give competitors a prestigious event to aspire to, and to be proud of qualifying for and attending,” said Sarah.
“The event not only provides the honour of competing against the best of the best, but also allows competitors to have the opportunity to gain points for their individual clubs.”
Classes include a working hunter series, equitation, best turned out, mountain and moorland (M&M), cobs, veteran, show hunter pony, show pony and coloured.
A show finale will build up to the awards presentation for the STARS Riding Club of the Year Supreme In-Hand Championship, STARS Riding Club of the Year Supreme Ridden Championship and STARS Riding Club of the Year Supreme Presentation on Sunday evening.
Riding club points are accumulated over the weekend and the club with the most points will be crowned Riding Club of the Year.
“We really do try and put on a fabulous show with a championship feel and we are delighted to welcome this new partnership with TopSpec. This year will be our third event and it will no doubt continue to grow in stature and popularity,” added Sarah.
Nicola Tyler from TopSpec said: “Sarah and the team have quickly developed a fantastic show for riding club and Pony Club members interested in showing and we are very pleased to be supporting the event.
“Our team of feed advisors will be in attendance over the three days providing expert but friendly feeding advice for all competitors wanting help with their horses or ponies.”
