If you and your horse are hoping to progress in 2023, British Eventing’s (BE) new The Howden Way Regional Academies may be able to help you to achieve your goals.

The Academies provide members of all ages and abilities the opportunity to access top class training within their local eventing community. Non members can also attend two Academy sessions before taking out a BE membership.

The Academies will provide a syllabus that has been designed to support all riders in achieving their goals, whether it be to complete a BE80 or to represent their country at the highest level. The training will be delivered by Level 3 coaches.

The Howden Way Regional Academies are all built around the same training and educational structure, offering riders access to high quality, standardised training throughout the country. The aim is not only to help horses and riders progress, but also to create a supportive local community network.

New route to Badminton

Earlier this month Your Horse shared news of new pathways to BE’s popular grassroots championships – the NAF Five Star BE80 Championship at Bramham and the Voltaire Design BE90 and BE100 Championships at Badminton.

The main route to competing at these finals will now be through BE’s new Regional Championships, which will launch in 2023 to replace the Area Festivals.

Five Regional Championships will be held across the country, giving a wider geographical spread and more riders competing at BE80, BE90 and BE100 the chance to experience competing in a Championship environment.

Visit the NAF Five Star BE80 Championship or the Voltaire Design BE90 and BE100 Championships pages for details of qualification for the 2023 Championships
