A New Zealand equestrian brand has launched in the UK after striking up a partnership with British furniture maker, The Painted Furniture Company.

Barn & Anvil UK officially launched at this year’s Mars Badminton Horse Trials, introducing a new approach to tack room storage that “combines practical organisation with thoughtful design”.

Barn & Anvil’s collaboration with The Painted Furniture Company aims to bring “beautifully crafted, made to order, tack room furniture to the UK market”, with every piece designed and manufactured in Wiltshire in the south-west of England.

“I created this line of tack room décor as I couldn’t find anything in New Zealand that would store my tack properly while also enhancing the space I was working in,” says Barn & Anvil founder Alice Cameron.

“I love how I’ve now created pieces that help bring calm and organisation to my tack room, which makes my time at the stables more relaxed and less chaotic.

“By teaming up with a local manufacturer with over 25 years of experience in the furniture game, we have been able to bring the New Zealand designs to the UK, with added British craftsmanship and design for the British equestrian.”

Visually appealing

Created by riders who understand the demands of everyday equestrians and everyday yard life, Barn & Anvil UK aims to help equestrians create tack rooms that are organised, functional and visually appealing.

The collection challenges the idea that practical spaces have to be purely utilitarian, proving that efficient storage and good design can work hand-in-hand.

The range includes tack room modular storage, tack trolleys, saddle racks, bridle hooks, grooming caddies, plus dog crate furniture too.

Every piece is built to withstand daily use while enhancing the overall look and feel of the tack room space.

A key feature of the collection is flexibility. Rather than offering one size fits all solution, Barn & Anvil UK works with customers to create the storage set up tailored to their individual requirements.

Whether its for a private yard, competition set up or a livery, each configuration can be customised with a choice of open shelving, cupboards and drawers, alongside 18 colourways, five oak finishes and a bespoke colour matching service.

Following a successful debut at Badminton, Barn & Anvil plans to exhibit at selected major equestrian events through 2026 to try and introduce their brand into more British stables.
