If you thought top riders were one trick ponies, think again, as a host of equestrian stars will be showcasing their lesser-known skills at Your Horse Live (10-12 November).

Leading horsemen and women will be taking part in Equestrian’s Got Talent at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire on Saturday 11 November, in a special evening of entertainment in aid of Riders Minds.

The Britain’s Got Talent-style contest promises to be a “fun filled evening full of laughter, surprises and the unexpected”, featuring some of the world’s best riders, in aid of the charity which supports mental wellbeing.

Riders Minds was formed in 2019, the brainchild of five-star event rider Matt Wright and his wife Victoria, Director of Caunton Manor Stud. Matt openly shared his mental health struggles, blogging about his experiences to raise awareness and understanding within the eventing community.

His openness encouraged other riders to come forward and Victoria and Matt recognised the need for a resource that could offer mental health and wellbeing support, guidance, and information for all riders.

Riders Minds now provides a freely available online resource dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of all riders, drivers, and equestrians. They strive to remove the stigma of speaking up, out, or about mental health matters amongst equestrians.

The Equestrian’s Got Talent performance will take place from 6.30pm-9pm on Saturday 11 November at Your Horse Live, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, and will require a separate ticket, with all profits going to Riders Minds.

Tickets cost £25 with some limited VIP Caunton tickets available for £45, which include early access into the VIP area from 5.45pm, canapes, a glass of Chapel Down wine and the chance to meet and take a selfie with some of the stars of the show.
