Budding equestrians are invited to apply for the 2024 Young Rider Sponsorship Programme. The successful riders will receive support from renowned equestrian photographer Jo Hansford Photography and mentoring from Para Olympic Dressage champion Natasha Baker, OBE.
Now entering its eighth year, this sponsorship programme is available to promising young riders from across the United Kingdom from all disciplines.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to pass on my knowledge and inspire young riders to help fulfil their own dreams and aspirations,” said Natasha. “This is the seventh year that Jo and I have partnered and we’re delighted our programme of sponsorship has been such a success. I can’t wait to help this year’s winners reach their full potential.”
Jo added: “Our commitment lies in nurturing the talents of passionate young riders, and we find immense joy in witnessing their growth and success not only throughout the programme but beyond.”
Exciting opportunities
A total of three riders will be chosen as winners and each will receive:
- Four 1-2-1 mentoring sessions with Natasha
- Two photoshoots of the rider and their horse
- 16” framed print and a keepsake of all images
- Jo Hansford Photography branded saddle pad and horse rug
- Ongoing support and regular contact with Jo and Natasha throughout 2024 and 2025
There is also one runner-up prize, who will win a two-hour photoshoot with Jo Hansford and a mounted print.
“I have absolutely loved working with Jo and Nic and being a sponsored rider for Jo Hansford Photography,” said previous winner, Beatrice Butterworth. “The opportunity to work with Natasha as a mentor was an added bonus. Having an Olympian as a mentor was so helpful and gave an added dimension to the sponsorship.”

Entries close at midnight on 18 February, 2024. Winners will be announced in March, 2024.
