A harrowing robot, boots for riders with wider calves and equine climate control were among the innovative products celebrated at an equestrian awards.

From 30 nominees, five products were selected as winners at the spoga horse Top Innovations 2023. The recipients were as follows:

  • Barnery, the magnetic bridle holder by Barnery GbR. The holder features a safe rounded design and can be easily fitted onto any magnetic surface without the need of screws of nails. It can be removed with one hand.
  • Equestrian Harrow’Bot, the electric equestrian harrow by Equestrian Technology. The Harrow’Bot harrows arenas automatically at the push of a button, negating the need for time-consuming work and use of tractors etc.
  • FreeFlex Hybrid Tendon Boots by Joh’s Stübben GmbH & Co KG. The boots protect while also allowing free and natural movement. The horse’s tendons and fetlock joints are also protected due to the inner fleece lining.
  • Suedwind CURVY AM, riding boots by Suedwind Footwear – H+P Handels GmbH & Co. KG. The boots are designed for riders with wider calves, and can be adapted to suit many different calf widths using exchangeable inserts.
  • R&AIR Care by Röwer & Rüb GmbH. The system creates an optimised stable climate by binding dust, cooling, minimising odour and regulating humidity. It also reduces the number of insects in the stable in a natural way.

A special prize was also awarded to Hoofbeat, who has developed a mobile gait-mapping system that monitors the wellbeing of the horse.
