Focusing on equine welfare
The course is divided into three stages and each one has comprehensive theory sections that are delivered online, allowing students to learn at their own pace. As part of the training, candidates will also attend hands-on sessions as part of stages two and three.
The course covers a variety of topics which will help you to understand the complexities and importance of fitting bits and bridles whilst focusing on equine welfare.
Horse welfare is at the cornerstone of the SMS training programmes. With over 25 years of experience delivering training, the society uses expert lecturers and content is backed up by the latest research.
As part of this course, participants will benefit from trainee membership within The Society of Master Saddlers. On successful completion of the course and assessment you will be eligible to upgrade your membership to SMS Registered Qualified Bridle Fitter (SMS RQBF).
