Young equestrians can put their horsey knowledge to the test with The Pony Club Quiz, which returns this year with a new sponsor, The Golden Paste Company.

The quiz offers riders the chance to test their knowledge in a fun and friendly team environment, and will be back in person for 2023. The quiz will have a Mini section and a Junior/Senior section. The format of the quiz will be a mixture of challenges, such as memory games, pictionary, guess what’s in the bag, as well as question and answer rounds. Topics will include equine safety, feeding, points of the horse, colours and markings, types of tack and equine welfare.

Area qualifiers take place next month (March) followed by each highest place Centre and Branch from each section being invited to Area qualifiers, before the Quiz Final, which will take place on 22 April at Moulton College in Northampton.

“We are delighted to be supporting The Pony Cub Quiz, the charity organisation is the starting point for so many horse riders and education is key to this,” said Branca Gebbie, Golden Paste Company Business & Trade Manager. “Our two organisations have many shared values including the desire to educate, support and develop horse knowledge among young people and the quiz tests the understanding of members in a fun and supportive way.

“The core of our equine range of products is all about educating horse owners about the benefits of natural supplements with turmeric being the key ingredient. We are dedicated to bringing equine health and well-being to the forefront of young horse owners’ minds and look forward to seeing this year’s quiz teams progress.”
