Since the launch of Harry Hall Heroes Phase II, in which equestrians were asked to nominate their favourite UK equestrian venue, club or yard, Harry Hall received over 3,500 nominations.

The campaign that became so popular, that within just 2 weeks of launch, the company announced that the prize package had been trebled and a winner from each of the following categories would be chosen:

  1. Venues
  2. Yards
  3. Clubs

Today Harry Hall has revealed a shortlist for each of the three categories.

Who will win 1 of 3 12-month support packages?

The love and support shown to yards, clubs and venues across the UK by todays equestrians has been astonishing. We look forward to working with and supporting the worthy winners in the next 12 months” stated Managing Director Liz Hopper.

Favourite UK equestrian yard

Barnsley Riding for the Disabled in South Yorkshire helps people with disabilities to take part in riding, carriage driving and vaulting activities. The aim is to enable each individual to gain therapeutic benefit and achieve their personal goals from the time they spend on and around horses & ponies.

Coloured Cob Equestrian Centre in Worksop Nottinghamshire welcomes all ages and abilities and the motto is “kindness is the key to our success”. The yard has rehabilitated many rescue ponies and horses and the teaching methods are compassionate with a strict ‘no kicking’ policy.

Muirmill Equestrian Centre near Symington in South Ayrshire offers a warm welcoming atmosphere and provides top class facilities. The yard caters for all ages and abilities, making it a fun, relaxed and safe venue and livery yard members are treated as part of the family.

Stourport Riding Centre is set in the beautiful countryside of Hartlebury in Worcestershire. A family business established in 1991, Stourport offers riding lessons to everyone aged four years and upwards, catering for total beginners right through to more experienced riders.

Top Barn Horsemanship Centre is based in Gloucestershire. Here’s a unique and supportive equestrian environment where passion from the staff leads to the development of new equestrian skills while everyone has fun with horses and like-minded people. Top Barn practices natural horsemanship and offers training for the livery clients.

Favourite UK equestrian venue

Chard Equestrian in Somerset promotes Equestrianism from grass roots upwards. Things never happen by themselves, but at Chard the staff makes things happen. They encourage everyone to achieve their aims whether it’s simply a love of riding or qualifying for Major Championships.

Kings Equestrian in Herefordshire believes that attention to detail is essential – everything has been designed with the horse, rider and spectator in mind. When the venue re-opened after COVID lockdown, the first thing on offer was a free riding lesson for all NHS and care workers as a Thank You for their hard work during the pandemic.

Lincomb Equestrian Centre in Stourport, Worcestershire is the ideal place to visit for extensive equestrian facilities such as cross country, off road riding and show jumping. The staff supports everyone from lead rein to advanced and every level in between. The venue is constantly improved, and all the facilities are maintained to a fabulous high standard.

The Friesian Experience in Cartmel, Cumbria is a ‘not for profit’ organisation offering short and long term sanctuary to Friesian horses in need. The venue is a registered charity that helps owners who may be struggling to care for their Friesian. They largely rely on visitors for their income and the COVID lockdown has hit them hard.

Wing Jumping and Dressage Centre based in Buckinghamshire, bring you a safe and competitive venue for Show Jumping, Dressage, Showing, Clinics. A family owned and run venue who are always welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. A brilliantly friendly place for any equestrian to visit.

Favourite UK riding club

Cornwall Trec Group in Cornwall aims to provide members with diverse training and competitions. Everyone works hard in order to keep a horse and the group is dedicated to having fun on horseback. Cited as “a small but mighty riding club” the group encourages everyone to take part.

Little Margate Equestrian near Bodmin in Cornwall offers a wide range of facilities and opportunities, especially for young riders. The love, the passion and the dedication that Little Margate offers has helped encourage many during the pandemic.

Oldham and District Riding Club is based in Oldham near Manchester. The club makes everyone feel welcome and encourages the young and the not so young to get involved. The club is proud of a hardworking committee organising events for all ages, such as raffles, rides, gymkhanas and even Christmas carol singing on horseback around the area.

Riders 2000 in South Wales is club for people and horses of all shapes, sizes and abilities. They are proud to be a friendly supportive riding club who offer support to all members and their annual camp is where friends for life are made.

Springwood Riding Club in Horsley, Derbyshire welcomes new members with open arms and holds several shows each year. They are a not for profit club with the friendly committee working endlessly to ensure that nothing is ever too much trouble.

Visit @harryhallriding on Facebook and like the picture of the venue you want to win in each category. The venues, Clubs & Yards will be shown in alphabetical order. Those with the most likes in each category on 6 August will win.

Voting commences on Friday, 31 July 2020 and will finish Thursday, 6 August at midnight.
