As the brand behind #Hack1000Miles, we couldn’t let Black Friday pass without searching out some of the money-saving deals for high vis gear for both you and your horse. I am sharing them with you so that you have the chance to update your kit and save some money at the same time.
Everyone who enjoys hacking a horse should be wearing high vis — at the very least one high vis item on you and one on your horse. That’s not be being bossy, but it’s common sense that the easier you are to see and the earlier drivers see you the better.

Equisafety Multi Coloured Acoustic Horse Ears
Reduced from £32.99 (and so a 50% saving), this item is anatomically shaped around the ears for comfort. Noise is absorbed by micro-foam in the ears, making it ideal for spooky horses and ponies.
I’ve picked out the multi-coloured option because I like it, but these horse ear covers are also available in block yellow if you prefer a single colour. There is also an orange version, but it’s not on sale at the time of writing.

Not the biggest saving — full price is £5.99 so they’re already very affordable — but every pound counts and this handy high vis item can be used on your horse’s noseband, reins or browband. Or you could make the most of the discount and buy one for all three places!
I’ve chosen to show you the pink/yellow version, but this high vis noseband is also available in high vis pink/orange and high vis green/yellow. These are currently discounted too.
Save £20 on this high vis gilet
Equisafety Hi Viz Riding Gilet
My sister has this gilet in pink/yellow and she wears it a lot — she says it looks good, is very bright, and is warm and comfortable too. Buy it in the Black Friday deals today for £39.99, reduced from £59.99. It’s available in extra small, small, medium, large. A little tip from me — I find the sizes come up small, so you might want to bear this in mind when you order.

Help your horse be seen from hoof to ear with these over-reach boots, which are reduced from £15.99 to £9.97 — a 37% saving. They are described as bright yellow and aren’t strictly high vis, but they do have reflective strips on them.
Any bright items you’re using alongside your high vis gear can only be a good thing in my book!

Equi-Flector Saddle Pad
Pay £32.97 instead of £47 during Black Friday for this saddle pad which is made with reflective material and has a florescent orange trim.
I haven’t used it myself but I could be tempted, as it also sounds like it should do a good job as a saddle pad too, with added WickAway lining, a hard-wearing girth guard, and a contoured shape over the withers.
This saddle pad is also available with a florescent yellow trim here and it’s even cheaper at £21.97, but stock and sizes are limited.
