Emily is a freelance communications professional specialising in media operations and content generation roles within the sports industry and has over 20 years' experience of writing for equestrian outlets. As a child she was an avid Pony Club member and competed at national level in eventing and tetrathlon. Her media career began at the International Tennis Federation where she worked for nine years as a Communications Officer before leaving in November 2016 to set up her own freelance sports media business. Since going freelance, Emily still works at many tennis tournaments including Wimbledon as well as other sporting events such as the London Marathon, the World Cycling Championships and the Commonwealth Games. In her spare time, Emily enjoys being active and has completed five marathons. She competes in triathlon, has represented Great Britain at duathlon, and is a regular fixture at parkrun. While she no longer rides, Emily still avidly follows equestrian sport, particularly eventing, and is based in the home of jump racing as she lives just one mile from Cheltenham racecourse.
