The annual Agria Ride will return to Countryfile presenter Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October to raise money for charity.

The fun ride will welcome around 200 riders each day to enjoy 10-miles of hacking across the private estate near Cheltenham.

This year, the ride is supporting Riding for the Disabled Association, World Horse Welfare and Retraining of Racehorses and costs £26 (or £21 for children aged 4-17). Agria customers receive a 15% discount and Agria will donation a portion of each participant’s entry fee to charity.

The Agria Ride is a Europe-wide initiative and is open to all horses and riders.

“I’m so pleased the Agria Ride is returning in 2025. Hacking and fun rides are so enjoyable for horses and riders, and this one is amazing for the way it also supports three vital charities,” said Agria-sponsored Paralympic dressage rider Natasha Baker.

Staggered start times

Staggered start times will separate the participants to avoid overcrowding and the route will include optional jumps which range between 20cm and 80cm in height. The terrain is varied and there are several places to canter. A shortcut is available which reduces the distance of the ride to seven miles.

“We are thrilled to be organising the Agria Ride once again. That this takes place in the month following the Agria FEI European Championships at Blenheim reinforces the fact that Agria is dedicated to supporting in ALL riders, not just world class combinations, to live their best, most fulfilled lives,” said Agria UK’s ceo, Vicki Wentworth.

“We’re very proud to be working alongside Agria territories across Europe to raise money for some incredible equine charities, while organising a great ride all will enjoy.”

Virtual opportunity

Besides the in-person ride at Cotswold Farm Park, riders may also take part virtually to generate a donation to be shared across the charities. Every hack that’s logged during the weekend through the free-to-access membership tier on the Ridely app will also trigger a donation to be added to overall donations for Agria Ride.

“We are very much looking forward to hosting the Agria Ride in October, which will combine our usual brilliant riding with other benefits for participants, and fundraising for three wonderful charities,” said Adam Henson, owner of Cotswold Farm Park.

Each rider will receive a rosette, an Agria key ring and hi-vis arm band upon completion, plus free tea, coffee or a soft drink. Professional photographs, plus further food options at the on-site Ox Shed restaurant, are available to buy too.
