Hobby horse enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on Disney-inspired hobby horses after the family entertainment and media enterprise collaborated with equestrian brand LeMieux to turn four popular characters into hobby horses.
The LeMieux/Disney Hobby Horse Collection comprises four characters – Pegasus from Hercules, Maximus from Tangled, Sven the reindeer from Frozen and Pixar’s Bullseye, who stars in Toy Story.
Each character costs £68.95 and is hand-finished, with a detachable, sturdy wooden stick making it suitable for indoor and outdoor play. Various accessory sets for each hobby horse, including headcollars and rosettes, are also available at £29.95.
“Working with Disney on this collection is a milestone for LeMieux,” said Dan Mahoney, CEO at LeMieux which was awarded a Royal Warrant by Appointment to King Charles III in May this year.
“Our hobby horses blend the timeless appeal of imaginative play with the iconic charm of Disney characters — creating a unique, story-driven product that stands out in the world of children’s toys.”
Hobby horses have become increasingly popular over recent years. The first UK hobby horse camp took place in East Yorkshire this summer while the UK’s first international hobby horse competition was held at Thoresby Park in March.

Pegasus
Pegasus, the winged horse who is Hercules’ best friend in the film Hercules, has a bright blue mane, white wings and a white coat. An accessory set featuring a headcollar, fly hood and rosette are available to purchase separately.
Maximus
A horse to the Captain of the Guards in the animated film Tangled, Maximus has a plaitable mane, expressive features and a determined look. His accessories, which can be bought separately, include a headcollar, fly hood and rosette.
Sven
Sven, the loyal friend and reindeer from Frozen, has soft antlers, a fuzzy coat and kind eyes. A reindeer harness, rosette and carrot treats can be bought separately.
Bullseye
Woody’s trusted horse Bullseye from the film Toy Story boasts a stand-up mane, soft suede-feel muzzle and a joyful expression. His matching accessory set, which is sold separately, includes a headcollar, reversible neckerchief with a bow and a rosette.
