Alan Davies is one of the best-known grooms in the world, having looked after two of the greatest dressage horses of all time — Valegro (Blueberry) and Uthopia — during their competitive career at the very top level with Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester, as well as in their retirement. Alan is often referred to as a 'super-groom' and the close relationship he had with his horses is well documented. Alan has helped raise the profile of hard-working grooms and he was named Team GB's Groom of the Year in 2015.
