Your Horse reader Kate Colbeck reviews the Dublin River Boots.
Any horse owner knows that you always end up spending more on your horse than yourself, but when it came to buying a pair of new boots, I decided to treat myself!
The Dublin River Boots rival the image of top-end brands, but with a more manageable price tag.
I wear them for pretty much everything and anything. From riding to grooming, going to the shops to walking the dog. They are comfortable, durable, waterproof and warm, plus they look great.
I love them so much that after my initial investment in a black pair around eight years ago (that I still wear), I bought a brown pair too.
The grip is versatile for both groundwork and riding, providing a good, stable fit within the stirrup.
My pair have worn really well. The material structure of the boots also lends itself to durability – the strips of ‘suede’ provide good grip when in the saddle, look great and the mud, once dry, just brushes off.
