An equestrian holiday destination is introducing new horsemanship experiences to their schedule for 2018.
Ranchlands Camp in Colorado will be giving guests the opportunity to channel their inner cowboy (or cowgirl) for five nights in May.
On the five night Horsemanship + Working Ranch Experience, guests will apply working ranch horsemanship and riding by feel, allowing them to better understand and communicate with their horse.
One-to-one horsemanship instruction and educational demonstrations are included in the holiday and there will be additional opportunities to work the cattle.
Ranchlands Camp is set in the eastern Colorado Prairie on the 87,000 acre Chico Basin Ranch, a working cattle ranch.
Tony Daly, managing director of Ranch Rider, riding holiday specialists, says: “Camping with a purpose, your holiday under canvas will be highly authentic, with seasoned professionals like Cameron Schryver, two-time World Champion Extreme Cowboy, giving you an insight into the nature of ranching, the role it plays in protecting the eco-system and the wildlife that it sustains.”
Five night Horsemanship + Working Ranch Experience from £2,425pp (no single supplement). The price includes all meals, activities, private furnished tent (tastefully furnished by Filson) and gratuities. Excludes return flight from £945pp.
