RDA shortlisted for £50,000 grant

The RDA has been shortlisted for a grant that will go towards the funding of its National Training Centre.

The grant, which is being offered by insurance company, SEIB, will see £50,000 go to one of the members of the shortlist, which also includes World Horse Welfare and the BHS.

Only those who hold a policy with SEIB will be able to vote. SEIB Insurance policy holders will receive an email with a link to vote for their desired charity. Whichever charity has the most votes will receive the grant.

A spokesperson for the RDA said: “This grant would make a massive difference to the RDA.

“It would go towards the refurbishment and rebuilding of the indoor arena at the new National Training Centre in Warwickshire.”

The National Training Centre is the first of its kind for the RDA and is a purpose-built facility including indoor and outdoor riding arenas, grazing and stabling for 20 horses plus training and meeting rooms.

The 34-acre site in Warwickshire will be a place for volunteers, coaches and riders from all over the UK to come together, to learn, share and inspire.
