Learn from the best riders at International Eventing Forum

The annual International Eventing Forum, taking place on February 4 at Hartpury Equine, has become an essential date in the calendar for riders at all levels of skill and ambition.

This year the theme is ‘Better — Not More Education’, with five top trainers and riders sharing their knowledge to help get the very best from you, and your horse, this coming season.

Dressage

Adam Kemp FBHS and Matt Frost, who together make up AM Dressage, will kick off proceedings with a dressage session titled ‘Simple Still Works’. They will demonstrate and explain the core elements of successful dressage riding and training, where simplicity often leads to the best results.

Eventing

Next to inspire attendees will be Major Richard “Dickie” Waygood MBE — performance manager to the senior British Eventing team, who are reigning European and world champions — with a talk on ‘Direct Riding’.

With a busy and varied career, Dickie’s achievements range from being the first serving officer of the British Army to compete at Badminton for 23 years and eventing a number of horses for The Queen, through to the huge successes achieved by Team GB’s dressage and eventing teams, under his direction.

Showjumping

After the lunch break, which gives attendees the chance to mingle with other like-minded eventing enthusiasts, renowned Irish international showjumping course designer Tom Holden teams up with former showjumping world champion and Irish team European Champion Dermott Lennon for their session, ‘The Jumping Test’ and ‘The Solution’.

Whether your goal is to complete your first BE90 this year or you’re aiming for success at the very top 5* level of eventing, the forum is a fantastic day for trainers, owners and riders of all grades and levels of ambition.

Tickets are just £50 if purchased in advance. Book tickets and find more information here.
