A patient at St Michael’s Hospice, Janet Bettell-Higgins, had a visit from a very special friend last month.
Her horse Crumble visited the hospice on a crisp winter morning.
He quickly made himself at home, being fed carrots, and entertaining Janet and hospice staff.
Janet said about the visit, “I feel great. It's the best therapy.”
St Michael’s Hospice’s Sister Jo Pinder said;
“At the Hospice, we try to make every patient's wish come true.
"It was such a special moment and to see Janet so happy to see Crumble in a relaxed environment was priceless."
Since opening in 1987, St Michael’s Hospice has cared for more than 12,500 people with life-limiting illnesses throughout Hastings and Rother, through a number of different services.
