Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin head to Somerford

Somerford Park Premier League Dressage has announced that Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin competing at this year’s Premier League Dressage.

Both riders will be competing across all three days with a selection of their young horses.

Olympic gold medalist Charlotte Dujardin will be bringing her rising star of the future Florentina VI, who took top honours recently at Hartpury, and En Vogue who produced a close second.

Also appearing in her line up are Mount St John VIP, Hawkins Delicate, while Carl Hester will be contesting Sunday’s Grand Prix on board Barolo.

 Riders entered and all set to compete include; Michael and Maria Eilberg, Richard Davison, Charlie Hutton, Emma Hindle, Becky Moody, Matt Frost, Steph Croxford and returning winner from 2016 Georgia Stokes with SOS Talented Mr Ripley.

New to this year’s event and combining two of Cheshire’s most outstanding dressage shows - Somerford Park and Bolesworth - the Cheshire Crown is a new award to owners of the horse with the highest combined percentage for the Grand Prix at the two shows, the award will be presented at Bolesworth in June.

Event organiser Millie King said: "We are delighted to see Carl and Charlotte entered at Somerford with a selection of their talented horses.

"It is a wonderful opportunity for spectators in the North West to view and be inspired by these world-class medal winners."
