Olympic gold medalist Charlotte Durjardin will be competing across all three days at Somerford Park with a selection of young horses, while Carl will be contesting Sunday’s Somerford Park Haylage FEI Grand Prix with Barolo.
These two eminent figures head up an all-star line up of Britain’s dressage elite. Confirmed entries include; Michael and Maria Eilberg, Richard Davison, Charlie Hutton, Emma Hindle, Becky Moody, Matt Frost, Steph Croxford and returning winner from 2016 Georgia Stokes with SOS Talented Mr Ripley.
With an increase in entries since last year event organisers have needed to order 100 temporary stables, bringing the total available to 185.
Due to the increased demand, the show will once again start a day early with classes taking place from lunch time on Friday 26th May.
New to this year’s event and combining two of Cheshire’s most outstanding dressage shows - Somerford Park and Bolesworth - the Cheshire Crown is a new award to owners of the horse with the highest combined percentage for the Grand Prix at the two shows, the award will be presented at Bolesworth in June.
Event Organiser Millie King said: "The Premier League Dressage has always been well supported and we’re thrilled that this year has seen such high entries.
"We’re very excited to have Carl and Charlotte heading the line up of Britain’s dressage elite, its a wonderful opportunity for spectators in the North West to watch and be inspired by these world-class medal winners."
