Yesterday afternoon, the dressage athletes at Rio 2016 Olympic Games went through the dressage Horse Inspection.
The British team of Fiona Bigwood (Atterupgaards Orthilia, owned by Penny Bigwood and Neils and Lis Dahl), Charlotte Dujardin (Valegro, owned by Rowena Luard, Anne Barrott and Carl Hester), Carl Hester (Nip Tuck, owned by Jane De La Mare and Carl), Spencer Wilton (Super Nova II, owned by Jennifer Goodman and Spencer) and travelling reserve Lara Griffith (Rubin Al Asad, owned by Wilfried and Ursula Bechtolsheimer) all their horses passed the inspection.
Last night Team Manager Richard Waygood confirmed the team order for the GB dressage team. The competition gets underway on Wednesday (10 August) with Spencer Wilton and Fiona Bigwood leading out the British team. Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin will take to the arena on Thursday, before the Grand Prix Special on Friday.
