A foal that was abandoned on a road side in 2012 is set to make his showing debut when he enters Equifest this weekend.
Now four years old, Patrick – as he’s known to his friends – will enter the competition in the PRP/RSPCA in hand plaited/hogged class on Saturday.
He will also be appearing in the RSPCA evening performance later that day.
Even though he’s set to be a showing superstar now, Patrick didn’t have the best of starts in life.
When he was only a day old, Patrick was left by the side of a road in County Durham, while his mother was nowhere to be seen. It’s thought that Patrick was left there by a breeder, who thought the colt was worthless.
To catch Patrick in action, don’t miss Equifest this weekend where he will be competing on Saturday in the Topspec ring after 10.15am, and in the evening performance at 8.30pm.
