The Blue Cross needs your help to find the UK‘s 'Veterinary Nurse of the year 2016' – do you know someone worthy of the title?
This special award recognises the dedication and support that registered veterinary nurses offer pet owners. Not only by caring for sick and injured pets but also encouraging responsible ownership and improving animal welfare.
Last year's Veterinary Nurse award was presented to Laura Lacey, from Chester, who’s been a vet nurse for more than 10 years. She was nominated for her tireless work educating pet owners and her commitment to animal welfare.
David Catlow, Blue Cross Director of Veterinary Clinical Services said: “Blue Cross gives this annual award to recognise the hard work of vet nurses across the UK. We are looking for those vet nurses who really go that extra mile to improve the lives of pets."
If you know a vet nurse who you believe has gone the extra mile for your pet or horse, or who has made a significant contribution to animal welfare, click the button below to make your nomination:
Nominations close on Friday 9 September 2016 and the award will be presented at the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) Annual Congress (7-9 October) at Telford International Centre in Shropshire.
