Your Horse magazine first launched #Hack1000Miles to inspire horse lovers to spend quality time doing what they love, hacking! The goal? Hack 1000 Miles in just one year. Did we all achieve it? No. But along the way we made friends, enjoyed the countryside, enjoyed the rain, the snow and the sunshine, and embraced every reason we love to ride when we embarked on our hacks. Whilst hacking has a whole list of positives that we can't wait for you explore, this past year has one big one for us, hearing and being a part of your stories. Check out just some of our #Hack1000Milers from last year below and keep them coming for #Hack1000Miles 2018!

Jess Bright   - Ziggy and I have really enjoyed this challenge and have managed 800 miles so far. Looking forward to some lighter, warmer evenings!

Louise Horwood  - Spearmint and I have managed 336.02 miles so far since starting in April 2017. Spearmint has been very poorly with his RAO (COPD) since starting so not managed many miles at all. We all thought that at 10yrs old he was going to have to retire, but after 2 solid months of aggressive treatment he’s responded and we are back doing #hack1000miles   We both absolutely love doing this challenge, although we would also love some more bridle ways where we are as well. We’ve had our donkey join us and the dogs

😁 This challenge has encouraged me to face new challenges with my boy and inspired me to go further afield, it has boosted my confidence as a rider. Thank you #hack1000miles   #YourHorseMagazine

Sophie Joy  - We are up to 600 miles so far. I've loved taking part in the Hack 1000 miles challenge. Pete (my New Forest Pony) is the trimmest and fittest he's been - he's a very good doer so needs to watch his waist line, we've gained so much confidence, put some demons to rest from his past & achieved so many things I didn't think we would together because of the challenge. More importantly we have had so much fun together on our adventures. I hope Your Horse magazine continues the #hack1000miles  challenge and it's been so much fun being part of the Facebook group and seeing everyone's progress & photo's

Stephanie Davies  - A few months ago I didn’t dare canter this horse and now we are cantering through snow and having a blast together. The challenge is really helping to get me in the saddle to add miles even on days when I’m not feeling so confident.

Tracey Sawyer  - As one of the Hacking ambassadors I have been so chuffed to see your pics and stories on the hack1000miles site. Originally I was asked by Imogen, former editor of Your Horse Magazine , to be the first Ambassador for this campaign as she recognised my passion for getting out and riding for hours and hours
