Max Stainton and his team at Riding Everest are preparing for the challenge of their lives - trekking to Base Camp at Everest on horseback.
Max, who has cerebral palsy, will be riding a Nepalese horse for the trek. These horses are well adapted to coping with the terrain and conditions seen on the journey to Base Camp. The rest of his team will be walking alongside Max and his horse on the ground.
This will be the first time that anything like this has been attempted and the team are taking part in the challenge to raise funds for the RDA and the build of their new national training centre in Warwickshire.
The team will set off for Base Camp on 30 March 2018 and are hoping to arrive just nine days later.
Here at Your Horse, we think it's awesome what Max and the Riding Everest team are doing, so we're here to follow them along the way! Over the next few months, we'll be hearing all about the challenge through a series of blogs, vlogs and news stories, which you'll be able to find on this page.
