After years of teaching other people to ride at his own Grove House Stables LLP, near Doncaster, Andrew Stennett is set to ride across Rajasthan to raise funds for The British Horse Society Welfare Support Team.

Every year the number of horses requiring assistance from the Welfare Team increases. As well as essential welfare work the team also educate owners how to look after their horses properly.

From September 23 to October 4, 2017, Andrew will be taking part in the Riding with Kings Challenge Ride across breath-taking beautiful countryside known as the triangle of Delhi, Bikaner and Jaipur – a region famous for its incredible architecture.

Andrew will be riding a Marwari horse, a breed descending from the war horses of the ruling families of feudal India. A tough, brave breed, these horses were known as ‘superior to all men’.

“Charities such as the British Horse Society Welfare Support Team do such fantastic work to help horses and ponies in need up and down the country but their funds are constantly stretched to the limit," says Andrew. “I am looking forward to taking on a personal challenge that will hopefully also raise funds for such a worthy cause.”

Andrew has set himself a target to raise £5,000. You can donate by visiting www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/andrew-stennett

Grove House Stables will be holding fund raising events ahead of Andrew’s trip, details of which will be posted on the Grove House Stables LLP Facebook page.
