Little Muffin was rescued along with this mum, Doris when he was only a few days old. The pair were due to be sold for slaughter, but Redwings were able to offer them a new home instead. Sadly, Doris passed away after arriving at the sanctuary, but Muffin overcame the loss of his mum thanks to the TLC from the sanctuary’s team and he became friends with another youngster, a pony called April.

Muffin has grown up to be one of the charity’s most treasured residents and longest serving adoption star. He's been charming visitors for almost 20 years and is often up to mischief with his fellow mule pals Nogs and Guy.

Muffin's special birthday party takes place at Redwings, Caldecott on Sunday 16 April from 11.30am.
