Everyone loves a fun ride. They are, as the name suggests...fun and of course they're a great way to clock up some of your #Hack1000miles miles but, in our opinion, the Chesterton Fun Ride in Warwickshire goes the extra mile!
This awesome annual fun ride kicks off at Chesterton Church in Chesterton, Warwickshire on Sunday 21 May and includes horse blessings by the Reverend Barbara Clutton.
"The Chesterton Fun ride is geared towards everyone," says the ride's organiser, Lynne Smith who revealed that the ride was originally organised in 2011 to raise funds for much needed restoration. Since then the ride has taken place each year out of a desire to support the Church.
"Chesterton has a small congregation and community and the ride helps us to raise fund in support of the church. We're preserving something for generations to come. It's also special because my mum, who sadly died, is buried there, along with a number of much-loved and even well-known horsey people including the jockey John Thorn and his son Nigel."
The fun ride itself covers beautiful countryside (check it out in the video below) and features a range of jumps for varying abilities. But that's not all! Riders can even choose to have their horse blessed Reverend Barbara Clutton and the day is filled with fun and homemade food for all the family.
Sounds like a blast to us.
You can take part in the ride by paying a £10 donation in advance or £13 donation on the day. Formore information or to book in advance call Lynne on 07759454195.
