Internationally renowned top event rider Oliver Townend is to give a lecture demonstration at Northop College’s Equine Centre in Northop, Flintshire.
The event, which is open to the public, will take place on Monday 17th October 2011 in Northop College’s international standard indoor riding arena. The evening will start promptly at 7.00pm. Advanced booking is essential for what is expected to be an early sell-out event.
Looking to pick up some winning tips? Oliver has had an incredibly successful career to date and will be putting some of his horses through their paces, whilst sharing his knowledge, experience and winning tips at an evening lecture demonstration guaranteed to be packed with plenty of helpful pointers and a whole lot of laughs. The evening will include both dressage and show jumping demonstrations using a range of ability horses from Oliver’s yard.
Oliver Townend is a name that everyone in the horse circle recognises; although only 28 years of age Oliver seems to have packed an awful lot into this career so far. Oliver, who learned the sport at Holme Valley Riding Club, followed that up with seventh on ODT Master Rose at the four-star Luhmuhlen Horse trials, while his wins at Badminton and Burghley from 2009 have ensured he is in the mix for Olympic selection.
Northop College Equine Centre Manager, Karen Jones is delighted that Oliver Townend has agreed to give one of his lectures at the arena. She said: “We are delighted to welcome such an iconic and well respected horseman as Oliver Townend to Northop College. We are sure that his demonstration will be both educational and entertaining.”
