I am 43 years old, bought me thoroughbred gelding 11 years ago as a 3 year old and have only just competed in my first affiliated one day event.

I bought George with the dream of Eventing.  On the way, I have experienced divorce, a new relationship and another child.  In November 2007, my daughter and I started showjumping at a local venue - the spark was rekindled and I started entering local one day events.  Last year I took the bull by the horns and entered my first affiliated one day event.  What a buzz (even though I did not complete the X Country course due to a fall), and I am now planning my 2010 diary with full enthusiam.

So never let your dreams drift away and remember, you are never too old.
