International dressage trainer Craig Stevens is offering one rider the opportunity to take up a once in a lifetime scholarship package.

Craig’s philosophy is ‘Classical horsemanship for the modern rider’.
He regularly gives clinics for the Swedish National Equestrian Federation and has also given clinics for the United States Dressage Foundation (USDF).

The scholarship, which will include free clinic riding and lectures plus lessons with Craig’s Wiltshire based UK trainer, Jules McInnes, will be privately financed and is offered to help improve and develop the well being of the horse for the future.

During various visits to England in October 2010 in 2011 Craig will teach the lucky scholarship winner. For the remainder of the year tuition will take place with Jules McInnes, an advanced instructor in ridden and in-hand work and has worked with Craig for many years now.

Although her main focus is training the horse and rider she has also trained with Dr Deb Bennett, Mark Rashid and Parelli in the past, is a qualified equine nutritionist, bare foot trimmer and lectures on all aspects of horse welfare, training and riding.

Jules is looking to find a student by October. In order to apply you must be under 20 years old and training to work with horses or be working with horses and living in the North Wiltshirse / Chippenham area.

It’s not necessary that you own a horse, obviously an interest in teaching would be beneficial.

To enter, you will need to write a personal statement and send it to Jules on jules_mcinnes@hotmail.com - if your statement is chosen, you will be invited to an interview and a riding session.

The deadline to get your personal statement in will be 16/09/10.
