Mare gets head stuck in tree

A mare who got her head stuck in a tree in West Virginia, USA, had to be freed by chainsaw.
She managed to get her head jammed in a fork in the tree trunk, and ended up sitting perched on her quarters with her head and neck in the hole.
A neighbour said she resembled ‘Winnie the Pooh’ with his head in a jar of honey.
The horse, called Gracie, was eventually freed by the neighbour, Jason Harschbarger, with his chainsaw. He had heard the horse whinneying.
Jason said he very carefully cut the wood around the Gracie’s neck with the saw. She escaped with minor injuries and is now recovering well.
