Katie Price is rumoured to want to change her name – and that of her various businesses – from Price to Reid.
Reid is the surname of her new cage-fighting husband Alex. The couple were married in Las Vegas last month.
Such a move could affect all her branding – including that of her successful KP Equestrian range of riding and leisure clothing.
Apparently, Katie made the announcement at a meeting with advisors to look at the future of her businesses, which also include pony books and a TV production company.
But she was told that the move could lose her millions of pounds.
Friends apparently said Katie was ‘absolutely besotted’ with Alex and wanted to show that by carrying his name.
She is said to have been very upset when she was told the move simply didn’t make good business sense.
Katie – aka Jordan – made the equestrian headlines last year when there were questions over her relationship with her dressage trainer Andrew Gould.
She owns a number of dressage horses at his yard and also performed with him at the Horse of the Year Show in 2008.
