Enjoy a special hack through the Norfolk countryside as a horse charity celebrates its 85th anniversary.
World Horse Welfare (WHW) has organised the pleasure ride through Euston Park, near Thetford, to mark the milestone birthday and celebrate its work helping equines of all shapes and sizes.
Taking place on Sunday, April 15, the ride will travel off-road grass and estate tracks, with eight and 12-mile options available thanks to the generosity of estate owners the Duke and Duchess of Grafton.
Frances Plume, supporter fundraising officer at WHW said: “This ride really is stunning and is a wonderful opportunity for people to bring along their horses and have a great ride on tracks that are perfect going.
“This is the first time we have held a pleasure ride at Euston Park and we are extremely grateful to the estate for allowing us to organise it. We couldn’t think of a better way to help celebrate our 85th year!”
Entry costs £20 for adults and £15 for children and WHW Champion Plus members. Any riders under 14 years old need to be accompanied by an adult either on horseback or on foot.
Entries close on Thursday, April 5, but late entries can be made on the day for an extra £5 fee.
All those taking part will receive a goodie bag and rosette, and light refreshments will be on sale on the day, with an event photographer on hand to take pictures of riders on the course.
Dogs are allowed on the estate on the day but must be kept on a lead and are only allowed at the venue and not on the ride itself.
For more information on the event and how to enter call Frances on 01953 497210 or email email@example.com. Alternatively you can sign up online via www.worldhorsewelfare.org/you-help/fundraising - all profits will go to WHW.
