Affiliating can seem like a scary step if you don’t know how to go about it and even scarier if you’re not entirely sure what it’s all about.

So we want to know if you’ve affiliated in British Dressage, British Eventing, British Show Jumping and if so, how was it for you?

We’re looking for someone to help shed some light on the process of affiliating for all those riders out there who don’t know who to go about it. Ideally this would have been a relatively recent step so that the experience is fresh in your mind.

If you’ve got a story to tell about your experience of affiliating get in touch with Your Horse writer Imogen Johnson on imogen.johnson@bauermedia.co.uk with the following information and please write Affiliate in the subject box:

• Your name
• Age (we won’t tell anyone!)
• Where you live
• A contact telephone number
• And finally 500 words (maximum) telling us a little bit about you, your horse and your experience of affiliating in BD, BE or BS – how did you find out what to do, what were your expectations before doing it, what was the process like and what do you think about being affiliated now that you’ve done it?

Three people will be picked to feature in our Spring issue sharing their experience of going affiliated.

Now that you’ve affiliated you probably can’t remember what all the fuss was about, but there are still plenty of people looking for help and advice before they take that step – so who better to offer it than the people who’ve been through it!
