Robert Whitaker and his horse Rooney, took to the Parelli zone at this year’s British Open with fantastic results.

As part of the ‘Solving Problems Naturally’ session, Robert and Rooney benefitted from the expertise of 3* instructors James Roberts and Lyla Cansfield.

James used his skills and expertise to try and help Robert’s horse Rooney relax and Robert was delighted with the results - he even had a go himself.

“I was really pleased to see a change in Rooney, he seemed to improve and I could quickly see a difference, he was much better, although I realise nothing is fixed overnight!  It was very interesting to see this kind of work in action,” said Robert.

As well as watching Robert experience the Parelli way longstanding supporters and those new to Parelli and the zone were entertained with demonstrations by the Savvy Team consisting of UK Parelli instructors.

As usual there was something to keep everyone enlightened over the four days.  Whether it was inspiration they were looking for or just having fun watching the demonstrations the crowd were not disappointed.

The Parelli Zone, now in its second year, has created a great arena for those wanting to learn more about Natural Horsemanship and how to understand their horses to a higher level. The Savvy team covered many subjects including solving problems, trailer loading, riding with confidence as well as play and relaxing.

“Throughout the four days the Parelli Zone was extremely busy.  We were delighted with both the number of people that came along to find out more and the wide variety of questions they asked,” said James.
