Revisit the 2008 Olympic equestrian events from the comfort of your armchair

The four official Beijing Olympic DVDs, which bring the excitement of the Hong Kong equestrian Games to life, are now available.

Courtesy of Equestrian Vision, the UK’s largest specialist distributor of equestrian programmes on DVD, viewers can review the Olympic dressage individual, dressage team, showjumping and eventing competitions at their leisure.

The Olympics 2008 – Dressage Individual DVD captures all the top tests in full, with the option of watching the kur tests without commentary. Viewers can immerse themselves in the battle for gold between Germany’s Isabell Werth with Satchmo and the reigning Olympic, World Cup and European champion Anky van Grunsven from Holland on Salinero, who retained her crown.

Meanwhile, The Olympics 2008 – Dressage Team DVD charts the battle between Germany and Holland for gold and silver, with the USA, Denmark, Sweden and Britain vying for bronze.

The Olympics 2008 – Show Jumping DVD offers comprehensive coverage of both the team and individual competitions, which feature the USA defending their Athens team title and beating Canada in the first ever jump off for gold at an Olympics.

In The Olympics 2008 – Eventing DVD, 22 nations were represented with 11 battling it out for a team medal. Fifteen riders are featured in the dressage phase, which saw Germany and Australia dominating, while the cross-country and showjumping sections show Germany scooping gold, Australia taking the silver and Britain securing bronze.

All DVDs are priced at £19.99.
