A trip to Cheltenham races next year is on the cards for the winners of a Blue Chip competition to name two Thoroughbred colts.
Following in the successful hoof prints of the feed company’s other racehorses, It’s Blue Chip, That’s Blue Chip and Here’s Blue Chip, both colts were bought at Tattersalls as weaned foals last year and will run as two-year-olds next season.
Known as Sox, one of the colts is by the US sire More Than Ready and will be trained by Henry Candy, while the other, Otto, is by Fraam, a highly regarded sire of offspring with superb temperaments, and will be trained by Paul D’Arcy. Both racehorses were bought by Blue Chip founder Clare Blaskey and are good-looking, athletic, strong individuals with fabulous temperaments and lots of potential.
So, get your thinking caps on and email your ‘Blue Chip’ racing name suggestions to dave@bluechipfeed.com, along with your name, address and daytime telephone number, before January 1, 2009.
The winners whose names are chosen will receive two Club tickets, including entry to the racecourse and access to the parade ring, all grandstand buildings and betting rings, as well as a car pass, to Cheltenham’s April 16 meeting.
