The new Quantum AMS saddle is to be the star of the show on a Channel Five TV programme aired next week.
The Gadget Show features all the latest consumer technology, and the show producers were very interested in the new saddle – so much so that presenter Suzi Perry decided to have a go in it!
The saddle, designed by innovative team SeymourPowell, is built on a modern, hi-tech chassis instead of a tree. It has been tested in the lab as well as in the field and claims to provide better flexibility and comfort for the horse, as well as improved security for the rider.
Presenter Suzi took part in the BBC’s Only Fools on Horses series with Tim Stockdale a couple of years ago, so she had no fears about mounting up for the cameras.
She took the horse (called Marilyn Monroe!) for a canter around a park near the Birmingtham TV studios, and declared the saddle a great success – giving it a double thumbs-up.
Afterwards she said all she was worried about was remembering everything Tim Stockdale had told her so she could ride the horse correctly.
