Some big names in eventing have already put themselves forward for the JumpCross Eventers’ Challenge next month.
Entries are in from Oliver Townend, Piggy French and last year’s winner, Angus Smales, among others.
The event at Grange Farm in Wittering, Cambridgeshire on June 22 is set over an undulating course, featuring plenty of water obstacles and knock-down fences.
JumpCross founder and course designer Robin Dunlop has developed a number of new initiatives for the event, including the new Chance’s Crossing water feature, named after well known JumpCross course builder Pete Chance.
“The JumpCross Eventer’s Challenge has been designed to present riders with an event unlike any other,” said Robin.
“It’s a sport with the excitement of riding across country but with knock down fences which require focus, skill and balance in order to jump the obstacles cleanly and safely.”
On the day there will be an auction in aid of the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund, held while riders and spectators await the results.
Prizes will include a lesson with Piggy French; two tickets to Burghley to include a course walk with last year’s JumpCross winner Angus Smales, plus a visit to Oliver Townend’s yard in Shropshire.
